Marco Polizzi
Bass and double bass player, sound engineer, Steinberg certified
teacher, producer and music teacher, Marco Polizzi is an extremely
versatile musician and plays in many different areas and styles,
from blues and rock bands to jazz and symphony orchestras.
At the moment he’s a member of the rock band “Stage of Reality”
with whom he already recorded two CDs “The Breathing Machines”
(Nuvi Records), and “Stage of Reality” (Rock Avenue, USA) and
toured all around Europe in many rock festivals and shows
(including Maximum Rock Festival in Bucarest).
In April 2019, he's the bass player for Kee Marcello(Europe) for his
European Tour.
In 2018, he’s the bass player for Vinnie Moore’s European Tour.
As a double bass player, he plays in the “Numinoso Ensemble” jazz
orchestra and in the double bass section of the “Player2Orchestra”
(symphonic orchestra).
In 2017 he played the bass for the italian singer Raphael Gualazzi on
the stage of the “Wind Summer Festival” in Rome.
In the past he’s been playing in many bands such as Blu Elettrico,
Projecto Heleda (Tango Bass’nDrums project edited by Club records
in 2003), and Astarte Syriaca.
With Astarte Syriac (2007) he recorded 2 CDs (edited by Lost Sound
and Copro Records, London), and produced the movie-concert “Sex.
De Humana Natura”.
In 2010 he played as a session man for the Italian actress and singer
and performer Loretta Goggi during a long tournée in the major
Italian theatres.
In 2008 he composed and played a double bass solo soundtrack for
a theatrical drama for the well known Italian National Theater
Academy “Silvio D’Amico”.
From 2006 he works as a musical director and sound engineer for
“Torre Alfina” Blues Festival, collaborating with many blues
musicians such as Mitch Woods, Roberto Ciotti, Junior Watson,
Harold Bradley, Earl Thomas, Dede Priest, Rusty Write, Chris Caine
and Ruthie Foster.
From 2003 to 2004 he played as a session man for the Italian singer-
songwriter Piotta, both during studio recordings and live
performances (including the well known italian event “Concerto del
Primo Maggio”).
Since 2003 he works as a sound engineer in his recording studio
called “ZooSymphonyStudio”, where he recorded and produced
more than 40 records.
Since 2002 he’s been teaching bass and double bass in several high
schools and music schools in Rome.
In 2001 he obtained the Steinberg Teaching Certification for the
software “Cubase”.
In 2000 he played in an orchestra directed by the famous Italian
director M° Roberto Pregadio.
In 1997 he played in the Jazz Orchestra “Officine Musicali”.
In 1990 he started playing in the Italian rock band “Blu Elettrico”, in
1993 the band signed a discography contract with the producer
Silvio testi.
