• Scott Malandrone, former Technical Editor for Bass Player magazine gave high marks and heaps of praise to Conklin's New Century Series Club model 5 string bass in their May '97 issue.

• This gorgeous "Ultimelt" 7 string bass was featured on the back cover of the 1997 edition of the Blue Book of Guitar Values.

 

• The Blue Book of Guitar Values honored Bill Conklin as one of 4 featured premier guitar and bass builders and inlay artists in its 1996 edition.

• The Chris Duarte Band featuring John Jordan on his mighty Conklin 7 was featured in the fall '98 issue of Blues Access.

 

• The roving photgraphers from the staff of Bass Player caught Bill Conklin hamming it up on the, then new M.E.U. at the '96 Summer NAMM show and included it in their 101 Amazing Basses issue.

 

• A glowing review of our Sidewinder 8 string guitar and accompanying CD was prepared by the U.K.-based Guitarist magazine after our distributor showed the editor some of our work. Their sister publication, Bassist magazine also ran a wonderful review of a New Century Series 7 string bass, but we have sadly misplaced the issue.

 

• Bass Player September 2000: Some of the most influential bassists of all time were asked how they got their trademark tone. Rocco Prestia reported his new Conklin Sidewinder as his instrument of choice.

 

• Charles Chapman called the Conklin 8 string "a superb guitar that I would be proud to have in my arsenal" in his June '95 review for Guitar Shop magazine.

 

• Vintage Guitar magazine did a two part history of the Tele-style guitar. Part two was chock-full of photos of Conklin Custom Shop Tele-type guitars and Conklin Crossover guitars which is a hybrid of Les Paul and Tele characteristics.

 

• ON, March 2001: Time magazine's new tecnology publication did a story on state-of-the-art product advancements in various fields and chose the Lightwave Optical Bridge Pickup-equipped Conklin bass for the musical instrument category.

 

• Springfield magazine feature of Bill Conklin and his craftmanship.

• The Japanese-based fanzine, Young Guitar did complete coverage of the last Whitesnake world tour and captured several nice shots of Steve Vai's one-of-a-kind Custom Shop Conklin 7 string guitar w/ handcarved 3-D "Whitesnake" graphics.
