Steve Vai's Whitesnake:Believe it or
not, this one-of-a-kind instrument depicting a two-headed Whitesnake
turning on itself was built in just 3 weeks! It was made for Steve
Vai while he was touring with Whitesnake in 1991. The body is completely
handcarved from Poplar and then meticulously airbrushed. The neck
is inlayed with ancient ivory and each heiroglyphic symbol has a special
meaning to Steve. The snake's tounge is made of red coral, the fangs
are ivory and the eyes are a rare gemstone called Sugilite. |
