Mike MacDougall
Mike is bassist for Canadian jamband champs 'The Jimmy
Swift Band'. Playing close to 200 shows a year all over Canada gives
him a chance to chat to a lot of people about his GT7. "I think
sometimes it gets more attention than the band!" Mike tells us that
every interview he's done since picking it up has ended with a set
of questions about his bass, "People are just blown away by it!
I can see why, I think it's perfect; rich, warm, perfectly even
tone right accross the neck, it plays like butter and it looks fantastic.
Initially, I wondered about the size of the neck, I was sure it
would take me years to get used to it, but within a day or two all
of my other basses just felt like toys, I've found my home!" This
year Mike and his band picked up a Canadian East Coast Music Award
for Alternative Group of the Year in Saint John, New Brunswick,
where he got to play his bass to over two million viewers nation
wide on CBC televisions broadcast of the ECMA2002 Awards Show. You
