George Dimitri
George Dimitri purhcased his first
bass in 1985, and over time he haspicked up various 4 and 5
stirngmodels. His current ax, and true love, is a Conkin GT-7
7 stringbass.
George played in numerous metal
projects from 1986-1991. Some of the bands include Snow White, Taz,
and In 'N' Out. George has been involved in numerous studio projects
and has recorded 2 CD's of original material. From 1992 to
2001 George played in various top 40 cover bands, where he learned
slap and funk style playingto accomodate the variety of music. In
1999 George was primarily the keyboardist and rhythmguitarist in
Wildfire. The band was votedWestern Maryland's top band for 2000.
George's current band, Hellcat, is takinghim back to the music that
firstgot him into playing, heavy metal. With new originals in the
works and a new album to follow in the future, Hellcat is lookingto
bringmetal back into the forefront of music again. Check out their

George has many influences but
his favorite metal bass players include Steve Harris of Iron Maiden
and the legendary Billy Sheehan. Other influences include Stnaley
Clarke, Jaco Pastorious, Michael Manring, Stu Hamm, John Patitucci,
and localBaltimorelegend Jimmy Charleson (whom George studied under).
Their influences can be seen in his aggressive, punchy, solid style.
